Amendment 21 to the 2024-2033 MTIP & Amendment 5 to the 2026 -2035 MTIP

The 2024-2033 and 2026-2035 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Programs (MTIP) identifies state and federally funded transportation investments within the New Bern Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Area. 

Amendment 21 / Amendment 5 adds funding for the Craven Area Rural Transit System (CARTS).

These Amendments will enable transportation projects to continue to move through the planning, design, right-of-way, and construction phases. Public comments will be received through January 12, 2026.
