Amendment 20 to the 2024-2033 MTIP & Amendment 4 to the 2026 -2035 MTIP

The 2024-2033 and 2026-2035 Metropolitan Transportation Improvement Programs (MTIP) identifies state and federally funded transportation investments within the New Bern Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Area. 

Amendment 20 / Amendment 4 adds funding for various recreational trails and funding for highway use intergovernmental efforts in categories of workforce development, quality management, motor fuel examinations, investigations operations, critical system upgrades and program maintenance.

These Amendments will enable transportation projects to continue to move through the planning, design, right-of-way, and construction phases. Public comments will be received through November 17, 2025.
