James City Improvements - Update

0 Comment(s) | Posted

The NCDOT recently sent a letter to homeowners in the vicinity of Taberna and Thurman intersections.

The letter advises that survey work will begin soon for improvements the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation is planning for these intersections.

As noted in the letter, flags and/or ribbons may be set around property.  This flagging does not indicate the location of the proposed projects, rather it pertains to the environmental review process.  It is requested that if you notice flags on your property to please leave them as this is an essential part of preparing to improve traffic in these areas.

Anyone with questions may contact the New Bern Area MPO or Mr. John Conforti, NCDOT Project Delivery Project Manager as noted within the letter.

If you would like to read the letter, please click here.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we continue striving to improve safety and transportation in our area.
